Choosing a single-row or dual-row LED light bar starts with the mounting envelope and lighting task. Row count describes part of the physical arrangement; it does not establish beam quality, effective distance or suitability on its own. 4WDKING is a brand under Aurora, operated by Shenzhen Aurora Technology Limited, the Shenzhen-based company established in 2011. Aurora develops and manufactures automotive, off-road and professional LED lighting and provides OEM/ODM services.
Compare the complete mounting envelope
A single-row design may be useful where available height is limited. A dual-row design requires checking a different housing height and electrical load. In either case, obtain dimensions including brackets, mounting holes, cable exit and adjustment clearance. Nominal length in inches is not a complete installation drawing.
Compare the beam under equal conditions
Spot, flood and combo options can exist within different housing formats. Ask for the exact optical configuration and its test data. Two bars of the same length can distribute light differently, and a higher lumen figure does not automatically mean a longer useful beam.
Keep curved and straight housings separate from beam claims
A curved outer shape does not, by itself, prove a narrower or wider horizontal beam. Evaluate the model’s optical design, photometric data and an installed sample. Likewise, a round housing does not guarantee a spot beam, and a work-light label does not mean every version has the same spread.
Check electrical and thermal fit
Compare the permitted input voltage, measured input power, harness requirements and specified ambient temperature. Cooling clearance and mounting orientation matter during sustained use. Do not use an unusual historical temperature entry as evidence of thermal headroom.
Review environment and permitted use
Ingress, vibration and corrosion requirements should match the particular installation. Verify the model and conditions behind any IP or reliability claim. Auxiliary off-road lighting should not be assumed suitable for public-road use merely because it is bright; check the applicable product and market requirements.
Make a sample-based decision
Prepare the available space, desired working distance, coverage area and vehicle supply for the supplier. Compare candidate models with the same test basis and confirm the brand SKU, configuration and current order terms. The image illustrates a light-bar format and does not imply that every length or option has identical performance.
