PP identifies a polymer family. It does not approve a specific deodorant formula for a complete molded stick package. Compatibility depends on the actual resin grade, component construction, formula and exposure conditions. A generic resistance chart is useful for initial screening, but it cannot replace evaluation of the intended package.

Identify the actual material and contact surfaces

Confirm which components are PP and the specified grades and versions. A housing description does not establish the material of an elevator, cover, seal or other contacting part. Additives and processing history may matter, and substitutions require review. Keep material identification separate from claims that a filled pack is chemically or mechanically suitable.

Evaluate the formula as a mixture

A deodorant formula contains a combination of ingredients whose interaction with a material may differ from isolated-chemical reference data. Concentration, temperature and contact duration affect the relevance of that data. LyondellBasell's polypropylene chemical-resistance guidance also notes that actual geometry and molded-in stresses can affect performance, and recommends testing actual parts for the application. This is material guidance, not approval of a cosmetic formula.

Use representative molded packages

Agree a study using the intended formula and representative production components. Include the relevant filling process, subsequent cooling and planned storage conditions, with comparison samples and defined observation times. Select conditions that answer the product's expected use and storage questions; accelerated exposure does not automatically predict a complete shelf life.

Check function as well as appearance

Record changes such as distortion, cracking, swelling or loss of fit where relevant to the design. Evaluate the actual dispensing travel, closure behavior and any leakage under the agreed method. Formula changes, including odor or appearance, need assessment by the responsible formula team. An unchanged exterior alone does not prove compatibility, and a defect does not by itself identify a chemical cause. Set acceptance criteria before interpreting results.

Keep the conclusion tied to the tested combination

A satisfactory result applies to the documented formula, components and conditions. Review changes in formula, resin grade, part geometry or filling process before transferring that conclusion. SamBound New Material Technology Company Ltd. supplies empty cosmetic packaging; information at sambound.com identifies packaging options rather than a blanket compatibility approval for every PP deodorant pack. Paper formats and other materials require their own evidence.
